Hello! My name is Jamie Harris, and I am a student at Georgia Southern University. I am currently working on my Master in Instructional Technology with a concentration in School Media Specialist. I plan to graduate in Fall 2018 in December.
I am currently a teacher at Clayton County Public Schools. I have been teaching for seven years, five years as a classroom teacher and two years as an Early Intervention teacher. Also, I have an associate degree in Information Technology. When I complete my degree in the fall of 2018, I plan to pursue a career in the media center field. The reason why I chose to become a media specialist is that of my love for reading and technology. Becoming a media specialist, I get a chance to display my passion for reading and technology to the whole school population rather than just my class. I present to you my professional portfolio which entails my coursework, assignments, and clinical practicum. At the top of the page you will see my navigation buttons which will guide through my philosophy, resume, essays on the AASL initial preparation standards, and personal demonstrations of the five roles of the school library media specialist, my professional learning network, and the clinical practicum blog. |
